A little about our.......

Hi my name is Elaine. I am 21 years old, and am from Connecticut. I just wanted to share with you all some of my babies at the zoo, but first let me tell you a little about this place...
" The Small Petting Zoo " as my friends call it, started off rather small actually, with a few cats here and there, and eventually got bigger with time. When we moved into our new house, we
decided that more land meant more animals, which I thought was a very cool idea. Especially since I love animals and want to be a Veterinarian.
The house that we moved into has 3 acres, and a 100 year old barn with three stalls and one standing stall. Also a 2 car garage with a loft above it. There is a shed also attached to the
garage, which my mother and I converted to a two stall barn.
We also have two ponds in our backyard that our dogs love to swim in, and the horses like to drink from.

All of our animals are rescued in one way or another. We decided that instead of buying animals or breeding them, that we would help
the ones that needed attention, or were neglected, that noone wanted. Alomost all of them were free...with a few exceptions, and people
told us that we wouldn't be able to help them or change them. Boy were they wrong!
It's amazing what a little bit of love, and medicine, and food will do to a neglected animal.....
